A pause on the journey

 This morning when I opened my e-mail and read the latest Squarehippies update, I was really surprised to see Robson Green featured. It is funny how much he looks like Squarehippies Fav Mike Rowe.

Robson  Pictues verge on NSFW, he is naked holding a fish in front of the jewels so to speak.  The show  (Extreme Fishing) is suppose to be awesome, but I am still bitter that ITV canceled  Wire in the Blood.

Ring the alarm! We have another mature, hairy and beefy combo to add to our list! This is Robson Green, the host of “Extreme Fishing” on UK’s Channel Five. He is also a popular actor especially on the telly, but I like him better as a host. A shirt and pant hating host. The British Mike Rowe, if you will. It’s the epic battle of the daddies and I want to be right in the middle! This fine piece of manbeef went full monty and unnecessarily covered his private bits with a medium sized fish, with three Canadian guys watching. There must be a logical explanation for all this, but I don’t even wanna know. All I know is that there’s no chance in furry daddies hell I would watch this fishing show — but if Mr. Green goes shirtless in every episode I might even go fishing (for fishes) myself! I’m sure many straight guys will have a mancrush on him as well, and hopefully he’ll take it better than some people. You know who you are! Now back to the epic battle of the daddies… imagination you better WORK!

MONSTERS VS ALIENS  Honestly, I did not recognize who was doing the voices initially. I did figure out Reese Witherspoon  as Susan and Hugh Laurie as Dr Cockroach.  I only knew that Stephan Colbert was the President based on the credits. I totally was stumped on Seth Rogan, Will Arnett, Keifer Sutherland, Rainn Wilson, Paul Rudd, Jeffery Tambor, Amy Phehler, Renee Zellweger and John Krasinski. (and OMG Tom McGrath as WILSON.. *sigh*)   It is certainly a huge known cast, and the voice acting wall all funny. the lines were witty and the movie in the first 30 minutes was visually stunning  (the use of 3d seemed to decrease as the movie went on). The story was kinda weak and very contrived and not always in a good way.  I think the critics will pan it in a bad way. It does not have the big squishy heart that really makes cartoon movies.  The aliens were not really threatening, maybe I have watched too much Doctor Who.  I thought it was a fun ride and visually it was nice, but it did not have the soft center that I love in a movie.

Rating:  9. Would pick up DVD on Sale
