You *definitely* need to check out LiA. It's fantastic. I'm not even a Jane Austen fan, but this got me interested in Pride and Prejudice. Anything that can get me interested in the classics have my respect.
I love Austen and the 1995 P&P is my fav (but it is 6 hours). It is worth it- I know hard to believe.
But as far as 2 hour Austens - I would recommend "Persuasion" It is a British Production and is really good.
As much as I adore P&P (and I did read it every month for like more then a year). Persuasion has to be my second fave book, it is her most mature work and I think the love story is more contemporary. I relate more to Anne Elliot then any of the other heroines. (here is a link to it- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114117/)

(I think I really fixed the link this time, I even clicked on it to check)
I have not seen Lost in Austen- I think I wanted to.. but it never made it to my screen- I guess I will need to check it out.
I don't know how it did in the US, but I am guessing poorly. The Rotten Tomatoes score is a 20.
I did find this charming review for it :) http://blogs.nypost.com/popwrap/archives/2009/02/thank_queue_ver.html
